VUZUGU is built around integrated structure rather than softness alone. In AURA, a supercritical TPEE foam midsole works with an embedded TPU support chassis to provide lightweight cushioning, heel stability, and a more consistent underfoot feel — all within a refined Derby silhouette.

A hybrid Derby combines the clean, open-lacing profile of a traditional Derby with the cushioning and structural support expected from modern performance footwear. AURA is designed for business-casual offices, commuting, travel, client meetings, and evening plans. For black-tie or highly traditional dress codes, a conventional formal shoe may still be more appropriate.

VUZUGU-CORE™ is AURA’s integrated sole platform. It combines a single-density supercritical TPEE foam midsole with an embedded TPU support chassis. The foam provides lightweight cushioning and rebound, while the chassis helps support the arch and stabilize the heel. Together, they form one structural system rather than a removable comfort insert.

The primary support in AURA is built into the sole, so it does not depend on a removable insole to stay in position. The removable footbed adds top-layer cushioning and can be taken out or replaced, while VUZUGU-CORE™ remains part of the shoe’s underlying structure.

AURA is designed for modern professionals who want a refined shoe for real daily movement. It is intended for office wear, commuting, walking between meetings, standing during the workday, business travel, and occasions that move from work into the evening.

AURA is designed to align closely with standard dress-shoe sizing. Start with your usual dress-shoe size, then confirm both foot length and width in our Size Guide. Measure both feet and use the measurements of the larger foot when selecting your size.

If you fall between two sizes, consider both your foot width and preferred fit. Choose the larger size if you prefer more toe room, have a wider forefoot, or plan to wear thicker socks. Choose the smaller size only if your feet are narrow and you prefer a closer fit.

AURA is currently available in standard D width. Its forefoot is designed with a more natural shape than many narrow, tapered dress shoes, but it is not a dedicated wide-fit shoe. If you normally wear E, EE, or other wide sizes, we recommend checking your measurements against our Size Guide before ordering.

AURA’s more natural forefoot shape may accommodate some slightly wider feet, but fit varies from person to person and the current AURA collection is offered in standard D width only. If you regularly require wide shoes, or if shoes often feel tight across the top of your foot, we recommend checking your measurements or contacting our Fit Support team before ordering.

Leather uppers may soften and adapt to the foot over the first few wears, while knit styles generally adjust more quickly. The integrated support may also feel unfamiliar if you usually wear flat or very soft shoes. If needed, begin with shorter indoor wear and gradually increase your wearing time.

The support is designed to feel stable and integrated rather than like a hard bump under the foot. You may notice a more defined feeling through the arch and heel than you would in a flat or very soft shoe. The sensation should be supportive, not painful or sharply concentrated.

AURA is best suited to business-casual, smart-casual, modern office, travel, and client-facing settings. Leather styles in restrained colors can also work with many contemporary suits. For black-tie, white-tie, or highly traditional formal events, a conventional leather dress shoe is usually the more appropriate choice.

Depending on the style, AURA uses an engineered knit or full-grain leather upper. Underfoot, VUZUGU-CORE™ combines a supercritical TPEE foam midsole with an embedded TPU support chassis and durable rubber outsole components.

Knit styles offer a lighter, more flexible feel and are designed for easy everyday care. Leather styles provide a more traditional, refined appearance and are better suited to formal office wardrobes. Both versions use the same underlying approach to structured comfort.

Yes. AURA knit styles specifically marked as machine washable can be machine washed.

Before washing, remove the laces and gently brush off any loose dirt. Use cold water, a gentle cycle, and a mild detergent. Do not use bleach.

The footbed is fixed and should not be removed. After washing, reshape the shoes if needed and allow them to air-dry naturally. Do not tumble dry or expose them to direct heat.

Leather AURA styles must not be machine washed.

Remove surface dust with a soft cloth or brush, then wipe gently with a slightly damp cloth when needed. Avoid soaking the leather or exposing it to prolonged heavy moisture. Allow the shoes to dry naturally away from direct heat, and use a suitable leather conditioner only after testing it on a discreet area.

You may return your AURA shoes within 30 days of receiving your order, even if they have been worn or become dirty. We want you to have enough time to experience the fit and comfort in real life, not just try them on indoors.

Returns are not accepted for customer-caused damage, including misuse, deliberate damage, unauthorized alterations, or damage caused by improper care.

If your preferred size is available, we will help you with the exchange process. If a direct exchange is not available, you can return the original pair under our 30-day return policy and place a new order for the correct size.
